Abstract:

The fields of Machine Learning and Deep Learning focus on creating algorithms and models that enable computational systems to acquire knowledge and experience from their training. As data becomes increasingly complex and the demands for accuracy in predictions rise, this thesis explores the study of Natural Language Processing techniques (NLP) and their application in detecting citation contexts from scientific articles for the recognition of emotions contained within them, as well as their use in text classification systems for categorizing summaries. Through the comparison and improvement of the produced results, the research aims to contribute to the continuous evolution of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in general.
