Abstract:

The PhD thesis focuses on the creation of a semantic model of sports knowledge extraction and management. In the context of the thesis, knowledge extraction mechanisms, as well as the appropriate semantic model are developed, thus the respective information is represented semantically in a knowledge graph. The sports knowledge graph that will be created will contain all the relevant information, combining both the data that has been extracted and the data that has been linked to them through appropriate ontologies, thus constituting a knowledge base that will be able to feed complex queries and specialized research, providing techniques for direct and easy access to the knowledge it contains.
