Την Πέμπτη 17/12/2020 από τις 13:00 εως τις 14:00 θα πραγματοποιηθεί ομιλία με θέμα «Fintech & Digital Transformation Advisor» από τον προσκεκλημένο ομιλητή Σωτήρη Συρμακέζη. Η παρουσίαση διοργανώνεται από το τμήμα Μηχ. Πληροφορικής και Ηλεκτρονικών συστημάτων στο πλαίσιο του μαθήματος «Εισαγωγή στην Επιστήμη των Υπολογιστών» και απευθύνεται σε όλους τους φοιτητές. Sotiris Syrmakezis is leading What If – Digital Transformation, a boutique consultancy firm focusing on digital transformation. He is working with organizations in the industries of FinTech (as board member of Finclude, fka verge.capital), payments technology (Interbanking Systems [DIAS] as payments transformation advisor), insurance services (European Reliance as digital transformation advisor), capital markets (Athens Stock Exchange as member of the Technology Committee), healthcare (Bioiatriki Group as advisor on digital transformation and a multinational pharmaceutical company as program manager of a national digital transformation program), education (as instructor of two e-learning programs for the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and more. Recently, he was the Chief Retail, Digital & Technology Officer at Praxia Bank. Previously he worked for 2.5 years at Eurobank, as General Manager, Group Chief Digital & Technology Officer. Before that, he worked for 15.5 years at Piraeus Bank Group, as General Manager of Retail Banking, Deputy General Manager of Electronic Business and Electronic Banking Director (winbank). He started his career in Egnatia Bank where he worked for 9 years, the last 4 of which as a CIO. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Technology and Innovation Management from Technical University of Crete (Chania, Greece) and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from University of Crete (Heraklion, Greece)
